Don’t neglect the tiny details!
‘Tis the season of Thanksgiving, where your closest friends and family gather around the table to celebrate and give thanks for all their blessings. Since I volunteered to host this year, aside from providing the turkey and stuffing I’ll be providing the table as well.
Of course, I can’t neglect my Thanksgiving table setting, because what kind of hostess would I be if I did that? And since I’m me, I definitely planned my tablescape way before I decided on my menu, so now I’m here to help you out with yours!
You may have already started with the bigger details, like your tablecloths, glasses, and plates. But don’t forget the finer (and smaller) things in life like napkin rings, which can really upgrade your look. From plain wooden rings to ornate golden ones, here are my picks for the best napkin rings to place on your Thanksgiving table this year!
For my Thanksgiving table this year, I picked these lovely golden napkin rings that ring in at a whopping $9.99 for a set of 6. Although not the cheapest on my list, these come in an impressive yellow gold color that looks more expensive than its $10 price tag. The quality and craftsmanship also far exceeded my expectations—these aren’t made of a flimsy material, making them easy to store for all the other holidays to come.
For my second pick, I chose these gold colored, aluminum napkin rings that come in a set of 4. Not only do these look lovely (especially for a modern table setting), but they’re also of a decent weight, something of a surprise to me as I expected them to be much flimsier.
These cute turkey napkin rings just had to make it on my list! They’re beautifully made and obviously perfect for Thanksgiving (and Christmas). They are also quite reasonable at $4.99 for 2, although the material does feel a little bit delicate. I ultimately docked points because while they’re gorgeous, I can’t really use them outside of these two holidays, making the cost per use quite a bit higher than I’d hoped for.
I love using these galvanized metal chargers for my more rustic farmhouse tables! They look great with unpressed linens, and the color and finish makes them very versatile. They are quite thin and lightweight however, making me skeptical of their durability.
This was my former top pick, which I also used on my tablescape for last year’s Thanksgiving. The quality of these are great, and the color is buttery and beautiful. These also have a nice sheen to them—not too shiny that it looks cheap, but enough to add some detail to the table. Ultimately, these lost in favor of the other picks on my list because they’re a bit too detailed to be used again and again, but they’re not as whimsical (and as cute) as the turkey rings I picked above.
These simple and stylish napkin rings are durable and they look great on a variety of table settings. While I love that the wood naturally creates different patterns and thus each piece has some slight variations, others may want a more consistent looking set. These also have some complaints about staining, which I never experienced but which kept the set out of my top 5.
These festive fall napkins round out my list for being durable, beautiful, and not too pricey. I love that you can pick from different designs on their page like apples and pumpkins, although I only opted for pears so I can’t attest to the quality of the rest. The colors on these are so vivid, and they look fantastic against a solid and dark toned linen, like brown, red, or emerald green. They are, unfortunately, too noticeable for me to use over and over which kept them from being placed higher on the list.
