Just in time for Mother’s Day!
Shower the hardworking mamas in your life with some love this Mother’s Day by throwing a special celebration in their honor! If you’re like me and you’ve put the planning on hold until the last minute, then have no fear! I’ve scoured the web for these 9 amazing Mother’s Day table settings that are perfect for the special women in your life. You definitely won’t need a fancy restaurant reservation when you have these gorgeous ideas you can recreate right at home!
Cherish with cherries
Cherry blossoms are such a cute addition to any cheery spring Mother’s Day table setting! Place branches in different vases and jars to add varying heights to your table, and keep the rest of the look super simple with soft linens for a relaxed feel.
Sweet and sour
This grapefruit-themed Mother’s Day tablescape is such a tropical and fruity way to celebrate a holiday brunch gathering! Fill a small flower or herb box with greens and pops of pink to keep the look monochromatic and fresh.
A boho idea
Macramé runners are absolutely perfect for an informal gathering! I love the cut grapefruits and succulents placed along the length of the table that not only match with each individual place setting, but also add some contrasting texture and right at the center of the arrangement.
Keep it classic
Keep the affair classy and classic with these gorgeous Mother’s Day table decorations. As an easy décor tip, alternating small bouquets and taper candles along the length of your runner adds serious height to your table! To keep the look sweet, match your glassware to the table linens and flowers—I adore this example with its vintage glasses in pink.
While this is still a traditional Mother’s Day look—think flowers and light, pretty colors—, add an extra special touch to the table by using small portraits of your guests (and their mamas!) on each napkin ring. For more texture and contrast, I love these wicker chargers that look amazing in more informal settings.
How cute are these moss chargers? DIY them with moss, cheap dollar store chargers, and a glue gun—I promise they’re easy to make! If you need a step-by-step, check out my easy-to-follow tutorial here. They’re a gorgeous and inexpensive way to add focal points to an otherwise plain and dainty table!
For an easy way to add some extra texture and contrast to your arrangement, look towards placemats! I love this gold patterned example that contrasts nicely with the mini bouquets at the center of the table. For an extra personalized and sweet touch, DIY calligraphy place cards in the same color scheme do the trick.
Simple does it
If your guests are more of the unfussy type, then this look is perfect for you! Keep the table simple with minimal place settings—think a lone plate and cutlery. Add texture and height, plus an amazing focal point, to the center of your table with foliage and pops of flowers in a jaw-dropping vase! I love the natural wooden one in this example, but I think large vases in metallic finishes would work just as well.
Refresh and recharge
For a Zen-like Mother’s Day tablescape, I love the look of unironed and unbleached linen. Include ceramic plates in basic colors like black or white to keep the look refreshing and minimalist. Taper candles in varying heights, plus a simple bowl of blooms and some greens scattered around, add interesting details to your table and finish off the entire look.
