The perfect plant for your table!
Writing about succulents has been on the back of my mind for a while now, and fortunately for me the past week sent me a sign that pushed me over the edge. My dear friends from @bonniechasedesigns and @ourgatheringtable graciously tagged me in two beautiful succulent-inspired tables (and by the way, if you haven’t already I’d seriously consider checking them out on Instagram for amazing scaping inspo). I honestly don’t know if it was planned between them or just a twist of fate, but I just knew I had to write my next article about succulents.
While I love me some fresh flowers, sometimes I just want my table to be covered in greens. And since succulents are plentiful and cheap, they’re the perfect plant to douse my table with. I adore just how lush and gorgeous these cute little plants look, and I sincerely hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Gilded in gold
Set yourself (and your table) apart with this beautiful gold and green scape! I’m loving the gold leaf touches on the plants—it’s the perfect way to add an accent to your greens! Bonus points if you match it to your flatware and your glassware.
Keep ’em potted
I’m crazy about potted plants as the centerpiece in lieu of cuttings! Not only is it a sustainable way to decorate your table, I also really dig the earthy tones of the terracotta pots!
Glass it up
Instead of keeping your succulents in pots, you can also try placing them in glass vases like in this beautiful table from my creative friends behind @ourgatheringtable! I’m loving the airiness that the glass accents add to this table, and I can just imagine how warm and cozy it’ll all look when the candles are finally lit! Add a pop of color like a pretty yellow and you’ll be set!
Add some rustic flair to the table by mixing your succulents with wildflowers in a pretty wooden planter. The sweet springtime color of the flowers pops so well against the green of the plants!
A succulent affair
Go all out with the plants and use theme-appropriate plateware like in this beautiful table by the brilliant @bonniechasedesigns! Seriously, I think I need these plates in my life. I’ve been obsessing over them since I first saw this scape, and I just love how everything on the table is in the same color scheme!
Going all out
Okay, this is definitely not the most practical of the bunch, but I just needed to include this one because look at it. THIS is the table I’ll set when I want to go all out and one-up my sworn tablescaping nemesis. That is all.
