Create a cozy and inviting tablescape with these great designs!
With snow covering the country from coast to coast, it’s time to decorate your tables with these winter white tablescape ideas! This season, welcome your guests into a warm home with sparkling snowflakes, charming wreaths, rustic pinecones, and white blossoms.
Don’t let the snow keep you indoors!
Even when it’s cold outside you’ve still got outdoor entertaining options, like this rustic winter white affair. A glass table perched on birch legs makes the most of the environment, but make sure your guests bring coats!
Bring the forest to you!
If it’s too cold to dine outside, clip a few branches from your favorite trees to decorate your dinner table. Silver chargers and goblets complete the scene for a very elegant and royal look!
Make birch bark candles!
Wrap a few pieces of birch bark around mason jars, and add simple white pillar candles for natural light all night long. Doesn’t this fabulous winter tablescape idea look perfectly cozy and rustic chic?
Use artificial snow!
If it’s too warm outside for actual snow, you can always grab a bag or two of artificial snow from your local craft store to decorate the table. A pine plank placed on top makes a perfectly seasonal runner!
Birdhouses and lanterns make great centerpieces!
Search thrift shops for old lanterns and bird houses, then paint them white and decorate your table! Best of all? You can always repaint them for another themed tablescape.
Start collecting pinecones!
How’s this for another brilliant winter tablescape idea? Clusters of pinecones, whether they’re inside an old lantern or scattered across the table, make an excellent centerpiece for this time of year. Using a dry brush, paint the outside of a few cones with any leftover house paint you’ve got—I think light colors like white and beige are best for for a homey look.
Time for crystal!
Break out the crystal wineglasses and goblets—their cut-glass patterns mimic snowflakes and compliment a table dressed with white trees and artificial snow! A silver ornament at each place setting gives a gentle nod to the season.
Snowflakes are as unique as your guests!
Set each place with a snowflake charger and a DIY snowflake napkin ring for a wintry look at the table. Have kids in the house? Let them cut out snowflakes from white paper to decorate the rest of the table.
Sledding isn’t just for the slopes!
Vintage wooden sleds make dramatic centerpieces. Upgrade your lodge-look with traditional rustic decor like pinecones and pine or spruce clippings set along the table.
When in doubt, go rustic!
‘Tis the season for hearths stacked with firewood, mugs of hot cocoa, and winter getaways to the mountains. Decorate your table simply, with a bench instead of chairs, and let the drama of an elk antler chandelier do all the talking.
